Vintage Design
Enameled lava plate/panel/wall décor with beautiful, polychrome decoration of 2, open wildflowers with ten petals, 1 closed flower bud and leaf foliage, from the 1970's.
The piece is made of lava stone from the volcano region of the Auvergne in France. This type, is specifically referred to as "volvic lava", also known as Trachyandesite, that is slightly porous with an anthracite grey color.
Piece is in very good, original, vintage condition, with extremely light signs of age, traces of use, natural marks in the lava stone itself, and a patina of time on the enamel (see photos) No cracks or chips on the stone or enamel glazing.
There is an eye hook on the back, to enable one to mount onto a wall.
